About the Big Rove Ride
Get Ready for BIG ROVE on Saturday, June 21, 2025. A fun bicycle event from the creators of the BACOON RIDE & PIGTAILS! This one-day, 36-mile summertime fun ride cruises scenic trails in eastern Iowa from Cedar Rapids or Iowa City to Solon. The ride features a dual start with your choice of either Big Grove Brewery in Cedar Rapids or Iowa City for a starting point, a midpoint at Big Grove in Solon, and a finish at either Cedar Rapids or Iowa City. With more flexibility, there are sure to be a lot of great ways to go about this ride. This ride is a part of the Iowa City Bicycle Coalition’s official rides for RAGBRAI.
Big Rove Registration includes:
- A branded wristband to get you access to all the food and fun on this ride
- Quick, grab-and-go breakfast at either Big Grove Cedar Rapids or Iowa City
- Mid-ride lunch at Big Grove Solon with live music
- An after-party with live music in Cedar Rapids or Iowa City

8am – 9am — Breakfast and Rolling Start – Big Grove Cedar Rapids or Iowa City
10am – 1:30pm — Lunch and Entertainment – Big Grove Solon
1pm – 4pm — Post Ride Party – Big Grove Cedar Rapids or Iowa City

Big Rove is an out-and-back ride. You will begin and end at your starting location, with Solon as the turn around point.
