Woodpecker Singletrack trails are located in Coralville near Camp Cardinal Blvd. Parking is located at the Tom Harkin Trailhead.
Similar to Sugar Bottom trails, Woodpecker Singletrack trails are one way going in a clockwise direction, watch for signs. Trails are separated by Camp Cardinal Blvd, with approximately half the trail system on the east side of the road and the other half on the west side. The west side trails can be accessed from the parking lot by going under the Camp Cardinal Blvd bridge by the creek.
Woodpecker Singletrack is the most kid/beginner-friendly trail system that ICORR maintains. If you have a child that is just getting started, we recommend going east from the parking lot, and entering the trials by the maintenance shed. Stay right at the first fork in the trail. There is a short inner loop that is 0.4 miles and does not contain any bridges or obstacles.
